September 2015 Updates

28th Sep 15

This month has seen a number of 'behind the scenes' updates to Orbit in order to better support the redesign of our modules.

The Team module has received an update to better support common social media connections with team members. This update allows you to have a link directly to each team member's LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ account. Please note, to integrate this on your site there may be a design cost associated, as having this feature enabled requires the placement of these buttons within your website's current layout - which needs to be considered. Please get in touch if you're interested.

We've almost completed the redesign the Photo Gallery module as mentioned last month. We had hoped to release this by now but it wasn't quite ready - keep an eye out for this next month.

The Page Layouts module also received a significant update for more custom components. This module significantly reduces the amount of time to build something custom on your website. For those who aren't aware of this module, it allows drag and drop functionality for different types of content throughout your website - it really is transforming the way we build websites on Orbit these days!

Including those mentioned above, here is a list of most relevant updates for September:

Team Module
Improved support for more social media connections as well as the ability to enable and disable (hide) members from appearing.

TinyMCE
New features, improved browser support and various bug fixes.

TinyMCE - Plugins
Fixed a path issue in the Spellchecker which has stopped it from functioning properly.

Page Editing
Added option to use JavaScript as a link URL to trigger custom code.

Page Layout Module
Full release, including new and improved editing within the Page Editor, drag and drop of each layout option, and an interface for creating new layouts

Real Estate Module
Created a dedicated API for updating via 3rd party portals and improved open home searches.

If you have any questions on the future road map of Orbit, or have any support questions, please feel free to send them through via the support area once logged into the CMS.
