February 2015 Updates

24th Feb 15

Following on from last month’s post, we are still in the Beta stage of the new interface. For the most part this has gone relatively smoothly with only a few minor bugs arising to date. If anyone is interested in participating in the Beta stage and wants to gain an early version of the interface, simply leave a comment below and we'll be in touch in a flash.

One of the things that we are constantly working on with Orbit is to make it faster – this includes managing the site within Orbit, but also for users of your site. We're excited to be able to implement some more speed enhancements as recommended by Google's own "Page Speed" tool. These improvements will roll out on all new site builds moving forward, but can be easily applied vi an update to an existing site. If you're interested in this, again, just leave us a comment below and we'll be in touch.

As for updates this month, here are some of the most notable ones:

Google Maps
Added support for disabling the double click/tap to navigate around a map.

Image Slideshow
Added a new initial image to display for when galleries are being loaded responsively.

Content Management System
Added more page specific settings into the main global Orbit class to allow for improved customization per page.

Page Editing
Improved security support for automatic generation of XML sitemaps.

If you have any questions on the future road map of Orbit, or have any support questions, please feel free to send them through via the supportarea once logged into the CMS.
