August 2013 Updates

7th Aug 13

July provided one of our biggest updated pushes on record. During a standard security upgrade to PHP on our server it exposed a stray deprecated function that caused all sorts of warnings. The result of this means all our modules and core code needed to be patched a tested ASAP. Thankfully those with Orbit subscriptions were able to get these updates pushed out to them automatically and therefore had very minimal impact.

Our current development time is being spent upgrading our e-commerce module to its 3rd edition. This new version will be even more friendlier to the search engines as well as providing a huge improvement in usability through the checkout process. The entire management area will get a new interface as well as MANY more features that clients have been requesting. We hope to have this work completed in the next month or two.

If you have any questions on the future road map of Orbit, or have any support questions, please feel free to send them through via the support area once logged into the CMS.
